We started the day with having some delicious hot Swiss Chocolate drink and a very tantalising lemon cupcake in this fancy-smancy chocolate cafe called Xocolate in Maling St, Belmont. Small boutique cafe, very antique looking... Just 2 cups and one cupcake came to $16!! Well, it was for a special occasion! Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera and took a less than ok pix with my phone camera.

The night itself, we celebrated Jerry's birthday at DIPS, a Greek Restaurant. As usual, we got greedy and had the banquet. Came with bread, 5 different dips and a massive platter consisting of prawns, fish, calamari ( yum), souvlaki lamb, chicken  and  wings!
Mom baked a beautiful marble cheese cake which came out perfectly ( despite the dysfunctional oven!!!) So, enjoy the pictures and I sure am enjoying myself before the big day this Monday!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a long long time since I last wrote. Its been so tiring and honestly I haven't been in the mood to do anything!!
Anyway, today I went to see my Obstetrician and he  is very pleased with my progress as well as baby's.Since I found out I was pregnant, I've only been scanned twice!!  And the last time I was scanned was at my 20th week ( for Down
Syndrome etc) So, today, I figured I could asked him to scan me to check the weight of my baby...but he rather uses the touch of his hands to determine the weight of the baby! I don't underestimate his experience but it'll be nice to see baby on the ultrasound and to see how big she has grown.
But, nevertheless, its another week away and I rather just wait till the day comes to see her in person! Dr says that she's around 3.2 - 3.3kg now. Christian w
as 4.15 kg when he was born so 3.3kg would be a nice size.

Funny enough, my family is now betting to see if the second one would be over 4kg...hahah...anybody want to give  a guess?!! The lucky winner who  guesses the closest weight would get a return ticket to Melbourne....! Hahaha....... I WISH!!! Would be nice to have friends and family members to be here tho......

In the meantime, I have posted some  pictures of
me....nothing too revealing, don't worry!

Yup...We celebrated our 5 years anniversary on the 17 May 2007 at this quaint and cosy Greek restaurant. We had the banquet which means THE FULL ON Platter!! Breads and yummy dips.... Sakalaki (fried cheese) that was soooooooo good!
Mounds of meat and seafood galore.... of course souvlaki ( bbq meat) and greek salad and calamari salad....and some greek dessert with their local coffee. It was heaven........

It's hard to believe that my little baby sister is all grown up! We are 12 years apart yet we remain very tight and close. I still treat her like a little girl. I remembered her dimpled smile and her contagious laughter when she was a baby...you know what, that hasn't change. She's still the fun loving girl and still very much mommy's girl!
Crystal, all the best with the upcoming Miss Malaysia/ World Pageant! We love you! The family, the whole kampung, heck the whole Sabah, KL, Melbourne are rooting for you! You are a true winner in our hearts!!!!
Love you lots!!!

Has anyone watched Happy Feet yet? After witnessing our very own lovable Lttle Penguins here in Philip Island, I knew I had to watch it!!! ( Unfortunately, I missed it when it premiered in the cinemas....) Well, check out the Real Furry guys in Philip Island!!!!!!!

Imagine this, there must have been hundreds of tourist young and old alike, all cuddling with one another. We were seated next to the beach where we expected the little penguins to waddle ashore to their sand dune burrows. The sun has set and it had a eerie glow to the place with the hollowing wind and the waves crashing to the beach. Pacific gulls hovered over our heads waiting in anticipation for the little penguins.

It was 8pm when, from afar, we could see the shadows of the penguins waddling towards shore. And my, they are tiny! They were literally, marching side by side in unison. When suddenly, the seagulls came swooping towards them and they hastily waddled back to the ocean. And there was empty darkness again.

Finally, we saw a waddle of penguins appearing further down the beach. This time they were more in numbers. They instinctively knew where to go as more penguins come from the depth of the ocean. It was an AMAZING sight..... despite the freezing cold. Shannen had the opportunity to 'bump' with a few penguins as she was walking back to the Centre!!
As Christian was fast asleep and the temperature was fast dropping we had to bid farewell to furry friends.......
I would recommend anyone to go and witness this wonderful spectacle! Check out their website at www.penguins.org.au.

The tour started mid day after a very speedy Vietnamese lunch at Swanston St. It was a 1 hour and half journey ride to Philip Island on Good Friday, so the bus was packed. We stopped at a few places, went to a koala reserve and finally reached our destination! It was cold and windy! Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures at the penguin parade site.

Yes....its true, I had this cooking frenzy for a week!!! I cooked up a storm as you can see in the pix. Unfortunately, I was too hungry to remember to take shots of all the dishes. For a week, I attempted to cook Spanish Style Paella Rice, Carbonara Fettucini, Hainanese Chicken Rice(my cravings), Lamb Ravioli (Jerry's Fave), Chicken Dumpling soup, Orange and chocolate Chips Muffin, burritos, Fried Chicken Drumstick, lamb ribs, Chicken Kiev!!!
Fortunately, for my weight and my sanity, it all ended after a week of binging and this compulsive need to cook! It is not easy to cook!!!! (Hats off to all mothers and wife!!!)
I took hours to prepare one simple meal! ( I remembered we had our dinner once at after 9PM cause my hainanese chicken just wouldn't cook!) I must have cooked it forever! And what I hated the most was the washing part....don't we all hate that?!
Well, now that Mom's here...I needn't worry about cooking anymore...hehehehe!

Sigh.... i can't believe that 18 days has passed since Christian celebrated his birthday. It was just such a hectic day that day considering I started to fall ill on NY's eve and the next day was just havoc....
but it was fun!!! Every single aspect of it was just wonderful.

My baby boy turned THE BIG 2!!! I still can't blif it...soon he will be able to drive a car and get married!!!
Oh boy....am I being melodramatic here...??? Can you blame me? If I ask all mothers, I am sure they would wish they could just slow time just abit, so we could really appreciate their innocence, their attentiveness, their needs and dependence on us mommies!
Just the three of us

In the meantime, enjoy the pictures taken on his birthday. He had such a fun time with his friends and his uncles'and aunties'. And he had a kewl cake baked by no other than his grandma! We had a theme "CAR" the cartoon movie. He just adores them!

This must be a father/son thingie....
" Son,some words of wisdom from your old man...."

heeheheee....so cute.... Dunno why Christian is so very kuai kuai that day.....it's so unlike him, trust me!
Actually, he was abruptly awoken from his nap so he could get dress for his big day. He was not a happy cookie....hehehe....and he was also very fashionably late... All his guest were waiting when he made the grand entrance at the Kinabalu Yacht Club.

The entertainers on a 'break'.
The kids had a great time! My sister, Crystal and frens helped with the balloon animals. It was riot. They were suppose to do face painting but they forgot to bring the paint!! Trust them on that!

Other activities the kids were doing at the party.Christian Jr and Isaiah sharing a moment in the sand with moms while Giordan is having a blast with his party pack!
And Cassandra having fun at the playground.

The happy faces of these kids and those kids at heart...
.

And the happy faces of us mommies when we see our lil ones having a good time especially when together with good friends.

All I can say is, yes, he sure loves his chicken wings. Even if it means fighting for the very last one!!!

A candid shot taken of Christian's birthday cake cutting. If you notice, the table cloth has the 'Car' Cartoon Theme on it....Yes, I'm very proud of it!!! Even if half of the guests didn't notice, it's ok......Cause now you know kan!!!!! hehehehe.....

A family photo taken with his cousin, lil Chantelle at the front row.
Ah, I forgot to mention about the cupcakes in cones which is shaped into the number
2. Well, during the party, the 2 became a 7, cause it was missing the kaki ( lets just say, some cheeky monkeys helped them self to the cakes...heheheh....) It was a big hit!!!

My son and his cars.
If you notice on the cake, it has some other props to it.....STOP sign, fences and some cows and ducks....hahaha...it was suppose to be some sort of a race course in the Outback. I guess this Outback has a farm....
Gonna ask Grandma where she came up with her creative ideas!
Finally, the candle blowing ceremony.....
we have been training for this for a long long time!
Firstly, was to not spit on the candle
oops!!
Secondly, was not to put out the flame by 'catching' it with his hands
Yes, that happened to him on his 1st birthday!! Thank God, he didn't have any burns or his mommy will be traumatically scarred for life!

The birthday boy did it!!! He blew all his candles and he had a fingerful of cake icing in his mouth in triumph!! All's well that ends well....by the time he got home, I can tell you he was one tired and well contented birthday boy. Thanks to all that made this party a success. Appreciate the kind thoughts and the patience.... and he loves all the toys and gifts he received! ( Now I won't have to worry about his wardrobe for awhile...heheehe)

And of course, thanks to Michael, for the vivid and out-of-this world photos. The photos spoked a thousand words, if not more!

These shots were taken on the day mom and Christian left for the airport to go back Malaysia.
The shots were mainly taken the morning itself to our visit to the Crown Casino in the City to see the Xmas Carolling and the Xmas Show. It was magical!!!
We took pictures at the Waterfront before finally heading off to the airport.

We took shots of Christian's new friend, Sandra, (I think !). The two of them hit it off famously as the rest of the adults were ravishing the food!!!

It is a very cold summer day in Melbourne! The coldest Day in Nov (it's suppose to be summer now!!) for the past 50 odd years or so.I really can't remember how cold it was but it was cold enough for a hail storm to hit Melbourne! Snow fell in other parts of Victoria.
Can you see the pebbles-like ice in the pictures?
The weather here is so unpredicatable. The following day, the temp went up and it was hot and humid!
Winter coat today, singlets and shorts tomorrow..! hehehe....Thats Melbourne for you!
